Iwan

Iwan was a typical Persian. Very relaxed and at ease. If something would be to difficult to do... than don't do it. The fence to high to get over, than don't, unless there is a chair or table in-between that helps you. He didn't like to be lifted or to lay on your lap, but he loved to wiggle and waggle beside you on the chair, till you made enough place for him. In that way he was close and cosy. We sometimes called him our 'cookie-monster'. He was not plagued by it, neither by the tooth, nor by our teasing. We combed Iwan every day and washed him every four/five months. He was ok with that, knowing he was not able himself to take care of all that fur. He was small for a Persian and especially after washing, there was not much cat left.
We had to go to the vet on regular base with this little pretty one. Problems with his skin, sneezing disease, problems with the tooth-stone and finally his kidneys gave up. One day after he became nine years old we had to decide to let him go. The special food and extra water injections didn't help him anymore. The vet came to our house this time. Another cat that died in my arms, and he was way too young... :-(
